Okay PC gamers, here is something special for you today. By now, most of you will probably know that the PC version of L.A. Noire is locked at 30fps. Well, not anymore. Rage3D’s user ‘jackfuste’, the man behind the FPS workarounds for both Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 1 & 2, has released a 30FPS removal for Rockstar’s adventure game. Moreover, this executable file also removes the black bars on 4:3, 5:4 and 16:10 resolutions, which is a big plus. To put it simple; this is how L.A. Noire should be in the first place. God, I love modders.

Every time we open game like that we have 50 FPS, to fix it go to your resolution change in game and switch from for example 1920/1080/60 to 1920/1080/50 that will change it to 60 FPS, after that you can go back to your preffered resolution (need to do this every time you start or minimize game).' Here is a workaround for those that have been experiencing incompatibility problems with the aforementioned executable file.

Another method to remove 30FPS cap:
• Download the program – ArtMoney
• Start the game
• Alt-Tab to ArtMoney
• Select the process L.A. Noire and click “Search”

119.88 – for 60 FPS cap
99.90 – for 50 FPS cap

Compatibility mode runs the program in the current version of Windows using the settings from previous version of Windows.

Step 1: Install the device drivers manually in Compatibility mode.

1. Locate and right-click on the game setup file downloaded/saved on the computer and select Properties from the context menu.
2. Click on the compatibility tab, check the box Run this program in compatibility mode for, select Windows 8.1/7 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation.
3. After the installation is complete, restart the computer and check if the changes are effective.

1. Press Windows logo key on the keyboard and type Run programs made for previous versions of Windows.
