Total War Mortal Empires Map

- It is a real shame they couldn’t have just extended the map just a little bit further south to get a bit more jungle in, give kroq gar and lustria a bit more space to breathe and give sudenberg sea access. I hope they do it for the third games mortal empire at least.

The game 3 area looks kinda small compared to game 1 and 2, I think that might be a placeholder and the end result will be stretched a bit further east.Red - game 1

The datamined map is spot on so far though, so who knows.Flag2·2Like - Senior MemberPosts: 9,087Registered Users
it looks small, but maybe it'll have smaller provinces and strongly reduced movement ranges

The datamined map is spot on so far though, so who knows.Every wrong is recorded! Every slight against us! Page after Page, etched in blood! Clan Gunnison! Karak Eight-Peaks! Josef Bugman!
Yes! to Boris Todbringer as playable, subfaction leading Legendary Lord with Starting Position Middenheim instead for the Empire! NO to the lazy way of moving Gelt and Volkmar who both belong to Reikland!
Where is Boris Todbringer? Have you seen him? - It’s possible the planned game 3 map ends up chopped up just as the Vortex map was as well
Well, keep in mind that it only has to host Chaos Dwarfs and Ogres. Daemons will surely be an horde.

I think it's only the combined map of game 3, we are probably going to have an other map focused on game 3. Probably with chaos wastes and more territory to the east of darklands

I think the campaign map of game 3 will be close to this:It’s possible the planned game 3 map ends up chopped up just as the Vortex map was as well
Maybe take more of the mountains to benefit of the orges.
It then would roughly fit the reduction of game 2 map.
Also that map has a lot of charm, for my pov:
has the areas of the expected races on it.
room for game 1&2 races to spice up enemy forces.
The dragon Isle for example feature LM.Flag3·3Like- edited October 2017noooo, this terrible chopped square Southlands shore did make it in =(

there was 0 reason to do that so i have no idea why they did it outside of giving us less content and an uglier looking map...noooo, this terrible chopped square Southlands shore did make it in =(
the amount of land that got Cut out of Warhammer 2 is HUGE....
Warhammer 3 better bring a map editor for the moders... i want to fight over a real world with all these races and factions.. not on this Chopped up clustered hell...
One more thing.. i know they wanted to reduce the water but ffs Ulthuan is basically crashing into the Darkelves lolFlag2·2Like - MemberUnited KingdomPosts: 1,433Registered Users'Everything in war is simple. But the simplest thing is difficult.'

TBH i would have rather had all of the the game 2 areas in, and if they had trouble with fitting, just do the same thing they did for Empire and split the map between a couple of different maps that you reach by going to specific 'travel' spots in the ocean. - There seems to be a new province in the Badlands where the big swamp is. Maybe a vampire faction is going to get relocated there?
I was thinking the exact same thing.. For me it's the perfect compromise. Why didn't they do that ? technical limitation maybe ?It's alright I guess.

the bigger question is WHY they had to CUT the new world so hard at the edges ?

i don't know a single reason why they could not stayed in...Flag1·1Like- If it's the real one tomb Kings won't have lots of provinces ?
And it's pretty over for araby addition - There are 2, or 3, provinces for Araby. Thats easily enough, as they then have to fight TK for space. Makes perfect sense.
Tombs Kings have 2 more regions with 5 settlements with Lahmia, Lybaras and others southerns cities on the east of Khemri..If it's the real one tomb Kings won't have lots of provinces ?
And it's pretty over for araby addition
TK realms are on the Shiftings sands, Ash River, Land of the Dead, Backbone, Crater of the dead, and some part of the Great desert, because of Black Tower of Arkhan.- The Vampire Coast is on there too, so the Zombie Pirates are still a possibility!
The Southlands weren't even an afterthought in the lore so I have no idea why everyone wants them.noooo, this terrible chopped square Southlands shore did make it in =(
Outside of the northern regions, which we have and in more detail then the Vortex map, there's nothing there. It's a monotony of Slann-less Lizardmen, Savage Orcs, and rumors of something interesting.
Meanwhile it's supposed to be multiple times the size of the Old World, which is the heartland of the majority of factions. So it either has to be cut down, dramatically resized, or it slows down turns and hurts gameplay in regions that matter- It's so weird that Morathi is going to start right off the coast of Ulthuan. That will make for a very different start. Potentially much harder.
Excuse you!!!!!!!!!!!! Hobgoblin Khanate has presence in that region, too.

We want them because devs already Made it its in the game as content so why remove it from us ?

and no it would not increase turn times thats not how maps work....
its the millions of unimportant not playable copy cat side factions that increase the turn times not a well made map..Flag2·2Like - Still don't think this representative of game 3s combined map but it's good for MEFlag0·Like
- We want it, because we know its 'there' and its consistent with the goal of having the known Warhammer World, complete, and conquerable.
For me, my selfish desire is to see the Eastern/Dark Lands area fully developed, and the chopped map is dropping important areas/climates, that would show that the Dark Lands is more than just blasted wasteland. - Senior MemberPosts: 637Registered Users
It's likely to be almost exactly what the game 3 combined map will look like. Perhaps the stand alone map for game 3 will extend elsewhere.Still don't think this representative of game 3s combined map but it's good for ME

On October 26, Total War: Warhammer 2 is getting a free update that will stitch its campaign map together with the first game. Called Mortal Empires, this grand campaign will include all 35 playable legendary lords and a whopping 117 starting factions from both Total War: Warhammer games in a massive battle royale to see which can reign supreme. Today, Creative Assembly revealed the final layout of the mega-map, including where each faction's legendary lord will spawn.
If you've played Total War: Warhammer, you'll already recognize the layout of the map and how the two are stitched together, with Warhammer 2's factions on the left and Warhammer 1's on the right. From the looks of it, it's easily the biggest campaign map I've seen in a Total War game, but players have noted some big, empty spaces—especially in the south-eastern desert. That's where the rumored Tomb Kings faction will probably spawn assuming guesses over what the new DLC factions coming in Warhammer 2 are correct.
Total War Warhammer 2 Mortal Empires Map
Mortal Empires is due out next week and you'll need to own both Warhammer 1 (and its DLC factions if you want to play as them) and Warhammer 2 on Steam in order to enjoy it. Thankfully you won't have to install Warhammer 1 again.
