I saw this weekend challenge, and I thought to myself that it would be a nice change of scenery. I've been glued to my projects for this amino for a long time now, writing my story, the interactive story and doing something else on the side. I thought that designing my own cantina (although I've never done such a thing in my life) would be a nice way to relax but still keep in touch with what I generally do.

Krayt dragons are massive, carnivorous, terrestrial reptiles native to the planet of Tatooine. Their digestive tract contains multiple chambers, in which mineral deposits may become gems known as 'Krayt Dragon Pearls', sold for high prices.

I decided to start off with a small 'story' to describe the cantina. I improvised everything from the get go and honestly I have no idea how it will look for other people. Guess we will have to find out.

Under the Krayt Dragon.

It was the most famous cantina on the planet, and I just walked in. I was greeted by a red-skinned Twi’lek female who offered to take my jacket, I politely refused and walked down to the door that slid open with a hiss and revealed the cantina’s interior. As I walked in I noticed a few things, the sweet aroma that filled the room, the ever-changing neon lights scattered around the ceiling, muffled sounds of music played by some Bith band in a room to the side. The main area was a big circle with an oval bar in the middle. Over the bar were three little circular dance floors where a Twi’lek, a Zeltron and a Togruta dressed in skin-tight revealing jumpsuits performed seductively. I spotted the barman, a blue-skinned Feeorin with a dangerous grin with an eyepatch covering his left eye. He was cleaning glasses with a white cloth, eyeing me as I entered his property. Instead of going to the bar itself I settled on a lean leather couch. While seated I searched for a button that would summon the automated holographic waiter who in turn would take my order. To my surprise there was no button, instead an attractive purple-skinned female Togruta came over to my table. Her montrals were donned with dozens of golden and silver trinkets, her ears were pierced as well as her nose. She wore a tight leather top that revealed her stomach, her belly button was pierced as well, and very short leather leggings. Her skin gleamed faintly in the light of the cantina’s neons. She leaned over in an alluring manner. Her face was right next to mine.

“What will it be, sugar?” she whispered in my ear.

“Got any Corellian ale?” I asked, my voice shivering. I turned my head to look her in the eyes, they were azure-blue and glimmering. She winked at me.

“Of course, you will find that in this establishment we have every kind of alcohol and liquor available in the known galaxy,” she said keeping her voice low and charming. I smiled at her.

“Bring me the best ale,” I said, relaxing my tone a bit. “Say, what would you recommend for a meal?”

“For a strong looking male like you, I’d recommend the smoked nerf.”

“I’ll take it, thanks,” I said putting my head on the headrest.

“Do you want any entertainment with your meal?” the Togruta asked. I was caught off guard.

“What kind of entertainment?” I asked suspicious.

“We can have one of our girls come and dance for you while you eat.”

“Oh, all right, send one over, thanks,” I said, still a little suspicious. “That’ll be all”.

She spun on her heel graciously and left. I didn’t have to wait long before I had my ale and my food on the table and that wasn’t the only thing on it. They sent over a Zeltron girl to dance for me and she did so on the same table my food was on. I was too distracted to look around the cantina while I ate, but after I finished the Zeltron took the empty plates and mug and left. I shook my head and looked around some more. There were a few side rooms, one with the Bith band going nuts on some alien instruments, one was filled with Sabacc players, the room next to the Sabacc room was dedicated to other various games such as Dejarik and Pazaak. One room was solely filled with dancers. I haven’t noticed it before but now I saw that the cantina was full of people of various species, it was so full it made me wonder how in the name of the Force I found an empty seat! Still eyeing the other rooms, I made my way over to bar, with the dangerously grinning Feeorin barman.

“Pour me some Mandallian Narcolethe,” I said nonchalantly.

“You sure you can handle it kid?” He looked at me with disbelief.

“It’s not your concern if I can handle it, your concern is if I can pay,” I flicked a credits chip his way. He caught in in his right hand and smiled viciously.

“Just don’t kick the bucket,” he said as he poured the beverage. I gulped it down like there was no tomorrow.

“So, tell me, anything interesting going on in the galaxy?” I asked simply.

“Who’s asking?”

“Just a curious scoundrel.”

“Curiosity will get you killed, kid,” he said and turned away. I tried getting his attention, but he ignored me. I felt the alcohol taking effect, my head got lighter and my mood improved. It was time to play some Sabacc…

Under the Krayt Dragon was known for its variety in foods and alcohol. They sold everything from cheap ale to exotic liquors from far ends of the galaxy. The cantina was equipped with an underground kitchen where chefs from various worlds prepared meals from all around the universe. The cantina itself was located in the most luxurious sector on Nar Shaddaa, and as such was run by the Hutt Cartel. Only the richest scum and scoundrels could afford to go there, and sometimes they never went out. The cantina had its own security officers inside, who “handled” any rouges. Because of its loose rules and plethora of attractive aliens, Under the Krayt Dragon was the most know cantina on Nar Shadda.

The cantina has much more to offer, but it would be much quicker to list what's not available, rather than what is.

The owner of this fine established is a blue-skinned Feeorin male. He is also the barman. He is known to sell valuable information if you pay him enough.

The owner fancies himself three species of alien women: Twi'leks, Togrutas and Zeltrons. Under the Krayt Dragon is filled with the females of these species, although there are few others among them, such as Nautolans, Humans, Cathar, Mitialan and even a few droids.

Three main alien species employed in the cantina:

The owner loved Bith music, so he hired mostly Bith bands to perform in his cantina. From time to time he would get a request for different bands, and there would be an exclusive appearance, but on a daily basis it was the Bith who performed.

Sabacc was the most famous gambling game in the cantina, as such it got it's own room designed specifically for Sabacc and its variants. Big tournaments were held in that room.

The cantina had many rooms, so I took some time in Photoshop and designed a simple floor plan. I wanted it to be authentic so everything is written in Aure Besh. If you know the alphabet you'll know what I've written.

That would be all I guess. It took me over four hours non-stop to have this written and made into a blog. Tried my best to give you guys as much info as I could. Hope you liked it!

I also wanted to point out that I only made the floor plan graphic. Other graphics have been found on Google Image search and have their authors' signatures on them (if there were any).
